On April 20 in Donetsk was held the Forum, devoted to the implementation of innovations into engineering. This is already fourth event organized in the frames of the Project “2010 – year of innovations in Donetsk region” organized by the Conference House Company under support of Donetsk regional Council, Donetsk region State Administration and Donetsk Chamber of Commerce. The Forum was opened by the Governor of Donetsk region Anatoliy Bliznyuk, who called mechanicians to implement innovations in manufacture, because this is the only way to be competitive in today’s market relations. Besides Mr. Bliznyuk mentioned: “In October we will hold the Third International summit where the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will participate. In the framework of the Summit will take place guest meeting of the Reforms Committee. Thus, proceeding all given directions we will be able to show our country the positive experience”.
In his turn, Andrey Shishatskiy, Head of Donetsk region Council mentioned: “I, as a former producer of engineering products, understand the importance of innovations, so our engineering production would meet or preferably exceed the best world standards. I want this Forum to effectively promote innovations in engineering and business together with government would closely cooperate and thus support the development of our economy”.
According to leaders of mechanical engineering Skudar Georgiy,President of JSC “NEP” and Landik Valentin, President of JSC “NORD Group”, for development and revival of engineering in Ukraine the plants doesn’t need preferences from the State. All they need is to create conditions for work. The rub is VAT refund and opportunity of getting credits on the low rate. According to experts, the optimal rate should be about 4%.
Also were discussed problems of taxation and legal regulation. Thus, Sergey Popov, Partner of KPMG, highlighted the urgent issues of taxation for enterprises of mechanical engineering complex, and Oleg Zagnitko, Partner of Beiten Burkhardt told about the legal maintenance of equity and debt funding.
According to the participants of the Forum, the shrift issue is also important. Tupik Ivan, HR Director in PC “NKMZ” shared experience of preparation the qualified personnel for mechanical engineering enterprises.
Totally, the Forum «MACH.INN: innovations in mechanical engineering» gathered 200 participants, among them: representatives of authority, Leading players of mechanical engineering industry, international consulting and legal companies, scientists and media.
Next event in the frames of “Year of innovations in Donetsk region” will take place on may 21, 2010 and will be devoted to the business restructuring as an innovation way of development and financing of enterprise.
